Save Their Bookstore

Wordsmiths Books, an absolutely incredible bookstore in the Atlanta area — where I did a little talk after my book came out — is in trouble.  It’s not, as one might think, a result of lack of interest or a sluggish marketplace. In fact, the store is doing well – the problem is old debt, which is suffocating its financial future.

This week they launched a drive to get the store back on track, so if you can spare just a few dollars to help a great independent bookstore out, please donate on their website.

If you’re in the Atlanta area, you should go to the fundraising event they’re holding on August 15th-17th, organized by Wordsmiths’ marketing director — and Friend of the Blog — Russ Marshalek. There will be bands, authors, etc.

(If I was anywhere even vaguely near Atlanta, I’d be there. But I’m not.)

Check out their site for more info: www.wordsmiths.com .
